stone unturned to make the event memorable.

 The event manly a brain child of sukhmani grover & surabhi singhal translated into reality by
shri Y.P.channa senior citizen & very active member of the group.

Nearly 50 plants were roped
individually. Kadam,madhumalti,neem, clerodendrum& harsingar. All the plants are well averse to
flora and fauna of delhi & useful to the environment with ornamental value.

.

Residents of prem nagar, B2B, BA ,BB, BD, B1,BE, blocks of janakpuri, vikaspuri,and ganesh nagar
participated in their plantation progrmme & vow to save the environment for generations.

Importance of a tree as explained by Mrs Rajni  Singhal to the gathering that even the donation of
one well to the society is very good.

10 well is equivalent to 1 step well ;

10 step well is equivalent to 1 pond ;
10 ponds are equivalent to one son ;
10 son are equivalent to one tree.               quoted from the ancient puranas.

So one can imagine the great importance of every single tree.

At-least five trees are required to fulfill the need of oxygen for one person for whole life. Apart from
the oxygen, plants give ecological balance to the overall environment of planet earth and provides
food medicine & fuel- says sandeep.

Mr sanjeev arora was of the view that only plantation is not enough. It is our moral responsibility to
look after these plants like out own children.then only they will survive and ecological balance will
be maintained.

The event was summed up by sukhmani & surabhi giving vote of thanks and decided the next
plantation drive on 2nd October 2010 and 26th janurary 2011.
